I may or may not get fired tomorrow

There are some people that find my way of working abrasive. I say fuck that.

There are some people that plan on doing shit that is just wrong and a union violation, then call it okay as long as they don't get caught and again I say fuck that.

The idiots I work for made a decision that is so egregious that I cannot even begin to explain it and then they decided to tell me I was gonna get fired for being "aggressive and hard to work with", well I am waiting to hear the news on Monday. And everyone of the asshats has hollered at me and treated me like a dog, because I am contract with no rights and they are direct employs with company charge cards.

Except I got a call on Sunday which pretty much makes this all a nasty trip for Monday and I found out if they fire me they have no backup. Which means I should just keep my mouth shut, act contrite and let the chips fall where they may. Which is gonna be ugly.

This should be good. And if I am fired I can drive my hairdresser to her chemo appointments.

I hate to say this, but there are so few men that can work with strong women. Most of the guys I work with act like they can't pee without a group vote.

You can't fix stupid

Sammy Dog being too cute.

So the Co-hort in training  goes out and finds that all the parts that were supposed to be reworked by the best of the worst sort companies are not re-worked. They are marked reworked, they just did not do the work. Co-hort is really unhappy and calling all peoples who are just not doing their damn jobs. This is gonna get ugly and now I have to institute the Rules Of Engagement, or I Will Have Your Ass if you can't do the fucking job.

This is all union bullshit, you have to put the union "kids" on the job and they are lazy and stupid. This is gonna be a great launch. This is why vehicles so much, union graft at this point.

I have to have an outfit to wear to corporate this week for a training session. Normally to work I wear jeans, a really nice Tee shirt, expensive shoes, which I need new ones, and a safety vest. This outfit will not work at corporate.

Okay, have to go write sort rules and order new shoes.

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf

I have no idea why a picture of one of the patio tables is on my computer. Those are the bells we got in New Orleans many years ago and the sound is sweet.

I am not sure why, I am tending to think that there is no real routine here, but sniping seems to be the flavor of the weekend.

I made soup for Big Daddy Friday afternoon and with the discovery of the slow cooker in the pantry I had a perfect place to cook it. He announces Saturday morning that he thinks soup and salad will be just great for dinner. I do not like soup as a rule and making a meal of it is not in my playbook. So that is how we started out.

Pick, pick, pick. Except when he got his new shoes and socks I ordered for him. Then he was all happiness and light. The shoes are waterproof and should work well in this awful environment this winter. I'll let you know if they get the job done.

I am also disgusted with men with gray hair and beards pretending to be in their 20's and wearing that shaggy look. Brad Pitt looked cute with day old growth on his pretty face. Old men with gray beards do not look so good. Actually they look like shit unless they are groomed within an inch of the lives.

And what in the hell happened to 2 penny Jenny at the convention. That woman looked like she stole the rest of Ann Romney's drugs and washed them down with a quart of Red Bull. She was never that excited about anything when she was here in Michigan. And by the way, as soon as possible she moved her family to California so a little disingenuous to claim to be from Michigan at the convention. (Born in Canada, raised out west, ruined Michigan, moved back to California.)  Also loved how she did not mention that all the non-union GM retirees were screwed out of their pensions. Surprised that Bob King did not chastise them for not joining the union.

Supremes, not the Diana Ross ones,

Gotta love it no matter which side you take on this one. Supremes say it is all good on Obamacare as it is a tax and Congress is allowed to tax.

When the dust settles on this one and people lose their insurance because it is cheaper to pay the fines, and the poor and downtrodden finally get insurance and find out it does not cover a sinus infection and the deductible is 10,000 a year for a gold policy, well I don't think people are going to be that pleased.

I can see my hubs company getting rid of insurance and giving raises to offset the change. The raises will reflect where you sit in the company and very few of the raises will reflect the actual amount you will have to pay out of pocket. Really, if you make a 2 or 3 hundred thousand a year you can prolly afford the insurance you can find on the market, just like Obama promised. For now anyway.

And if your kid is 26 or younger and on your insurance, well you are a drain on the company and your raise will never cover this outlay.

I am waiting to hear what is going to happen to all the people that work for the companies that were allowed to opt out of  Obamacare, you know like McDonalds and the like. I am also waiting to see if the UAW is still freed from any obligation to have to participate in Obamacare.

Life goes on

So many things are confusing. And pissing me off. Why the fuck is some dickwad from CNN traveling the streets of New York looking for the home of the maid in the "Dom and the Maid" story? I call him Dom because I seen his mug on TV so often I feel I know him. Not in that sense. And CNN interviewed a woman from Paris and asked her what the difference is between Paris and the Bronx. If that is not the stupidest thing I have ever heard just call me . . . never mind opening the wine now. We all know there are no real French restaurants in the Bronx.

Took my last Z-pak tablet today so we will see. Need to make appointments for when we go home and will take Punkin Head's advice on finding a doctor that takes this weirdo insurance. Punkin Head is getting ready to return the lease car and until we get home this will be the first time without a vehicle since we were both teenagers. How odd. Of course a rental car when we return will cost more than a lease payment so no party will be had for money saved. Hope we can get a car we can live with and not be pissed off with a ride that sucks. Just another reason I hate this economic meltdown for everyone except Wall Street and the automotive leaches.

Oh and if  I heard things correctly (and that is very dicey here in the communist country) Obama told Israel to fuck off in a very nice way.  Kinda like good luck but I can't help ya, but you need to get your shit together on your own, and the old city is kinda up for grabs, but we love ya. Oh and we told the mean guys not to shoot at you anymore, so its good. Wonder what he is telling Bahrain about the home of the Navy guys. Wonder what Hillary is thinking, I always said she fucked up when she took that job. She was the only person that told him no. Maybe now she can quit and learn how to do her hair or get a brush cut. Whatever.

Now on to me, which is what this blog is all about anyway. I am so pissed off about my hair appointment last Friday I could scream. Of course the extreme sore throat stopped that action, but the thought has been with me all week. What part of blond hair does this bitch not get? I heard about another salon so Big Daddy and I must search the streets for these saviours of white people hair. This is one time that if I can get a better hairdresser I will walk back in the door of Chez Shiity and say look bitch, this is called blond hair and this is called a blow dry. Well she is French and according to Dom ya gotta go to the US to get a blow job.

Ok, new movie for tonight, gotta get dressed and pretend I feel like a human. Maybe dinner out.

Detroit Melting Down Again

I am aghast at the news reports coming out of Detroit on the UAW workers caught on tape during their lunch hour behaving badly. These are not stupid guys. And every damn one of them knew better. I am so damn disappointed in every damn one of them for this stupid, stupid behavior.

These guys knew exactly what they were doing. And they also knew, every one of them, that there is a group in that plant that is pushing for the new 2 level platform and pay scale. The new lower level payscale people have been turning people in for work rules violations for a while now. And a large amount of the new people on the lower wage scale and in a different local are related to the union representatives at that plant, common gossip says. I would never know this for sure, only the common gossip.

So, you have a huge disruption in the company with multiple owners and then bankruptcy, unknown UAW changes as the upper echelon and International does not commincate with the local, Chrysler management scrambling to keep their jobs and taking that out on the hourly, treating suppliers like shit (which shut down the plant how many times), and having the Italians take pictures of your lunch bucket on a table-and when maybe things might be getting better-y'all decide the local party store and park is the way to keep your jobs.

The thing is everyone is under the gun now. And yes, I am sorry to have to tell you this, everyone represents their employer. At work or not, what you do is who you are.

You guys know who you are and I know who you are. And every damn one of you sorry assholes need to get up and apologoze to your co-workers and apologize to the American people who loaned you the money (not for the first time) to stay in business.

And for the asshole too lazy to get out of the minivan and pick up the bottle after he missed the trash can, were you trying to keep your union brothers and sisters in the Parks and Rec crew employed. Slob.

UAW still fucking with people

short version today

Snippets:

Don't fuck with my dog's food, this by a sister who is not alone in having dues taken out of her check twice in one month.

We don't get a tee shirt for the fucking parade, from a brother also tired of the UAW not feeling the love.

Lovely Saturday here in the Pointes, maybe more tomorrow. Feeling down today and working extra hard to find GrrDog a new home.

Tomorrow is another day and the old life is simply that, wish I knew what the new life looked like.

UAW seems to be screwing with their members

Plant Loco got screwed on the lay-off, call back and summer vacation. Some locals got unemployment and sub, some did not. If I paid dues I would be damn pissed. Who screwed up, the locals or the International. I thought this shit stood for brotherhood and solidarity. Apparently not. It stands for mine is mine and yours is mine too. And they think health care is going to be any different. It not what you know it is who you know.

Snippets:

Can you give me a quote on the divets? Not until you ask me for a request for quote in writing, you darn ignorant asshole. I told you this 60 times in the last few weeks. And I am sorry you do not know how your system works. That is not my problem.

Scraps was supposed to be Snaps.Snaps:

No pictures yet. Coming soon.

Just too fucking funny:

When we asked how to identify the Italians we were told they are the only ones smiling!

Just one more day of early wakeup and then a 4 day weekend.

WTF:

Boss called and asked me to cover another plant Friday. Told him, I am on vacation. If you want to give me the day back then I will only have to work one day in December.

Some Things Change and Some Things Don't

Dealerships are being shut down today. Some are family owned businesses that supported a couple of generations with middle class lifestyles. Not yachts and moats like out British kin, but sand boxes and side walks. Oh well, as long as Obama is happy. Maybe Obama will buy us all an IPod and some DVD's that we can use in our tent cities, where I am sure we will have solar and wind power.

Don't want to piss off my UAW friends-but ya know we are gonna have all the best spots first in tent city. Look for swamp.

Big Daddy is networking, resuming, and telling his head-hunter peeps anything is good now. No more I would like to live in a real apartment. Tent City is fine.

And now our best cartoon, Nancy Pelosi, is saying Bush buffaloed her. She did not understand? Once again I must state we need to take those pearls and put them on a normal person. I vote for me. If I don't win can we auction them off and buy port-a-pottys for tent city?

Easter Saturday

In the UAW world Good Friday and Easter Monday are paid holidays. Ford gave up Easter Monday in the latest contract by GM and Chrysler still have it, so I have 4 days off. And buddy I really needed it. Last week was really hard. I was exhausted.

I almost feel like "Defects are Us". I have never seen anything like this in a long time. Actually never anything this bad. It is like every brain cell in our plant went on vacation early. This is some dumb stuff I am seeing. And Explaining. And no one cares for the explanations. This is true silo thinking. Their dumbass people are the only dumbass people in the world, our dumbass people are worse than anyone in the history of the world and should be shot. And why did we hire the spawn of the devil in the first place. Their dumbass people are simply misunderstood, my dumbass people are evil and intentionally out to make Plant Loco depository for all things wrong in the world. I thought the one guy was going to cry when he described his vision of a perfect world without me in it. I can't wait til he meets the Koreans.

I remember when we shipped from Europe to a Plant Loco competitor. 4 weeks on the water, put on rail in Montreal and then trucked from Dearborn. Oh yea, and 2 weeks to convince the Europeans that they had a problem. Air France flight 74 was the expedite, with 2 days in customs at Metro. The good old days. Back then the customer tried to make me cry. I remember one day I was getting yelled at and in the back of my mind Cher kept singing gypsies, tramps, and thieves. Customer opinion of my European compatriots. And this is when we all made money.
