Crazy Ass Shit
Granddaughter loves to swim.
So after yesterday's rant I thought I should get back here and if nothing else vent.
So whats new?
Well moving backward, my uncle died-massive heart attack-he fell in the pool-was on a ventilator and then he died He had a stroke a few weeks ago so this has been a huge cluster. I called all his kids as they don't get along with the second wife, the one he had the affair with on their mom. Who knew they would feel this way.
My mom had a nail in her tire. She is in Florida 1000 miles away. It took hours on the phone to get this replaced and fixed. 4 calls to her to get the specs on the car and tire. This is the car she has no title to because my brother fucked her over. Then she went in and it was not a nail, it was a nothing. At least they did not charge her, yea Tire King.
Her best friend is moving away because she is old, her other friend has a hole in his bladder, and all the other ones died. Except the ones who moved away and all their kids are dying. It seems everyone has cancer.
My best friend died, she also had cancer. First breast cancer, then it went to her bones and then her brain. It was not fun.
My mom had breast cancer and leukemia. Then she had a mastectomy and when on a pill to get rid of the estrogen and her bumps went away. Oh yea, she had this skin rash/bump situation from hell. These bumps were the size of walnuts and really awful. She had every test out there and they were painful and negative but the biophys all said leukemia. The bumps started going away. Now she has no bumps. Her oncologist says Bethesda should see this shit, Bethesda says she has leukemia. What she had was rare and I cannot tell you name and we think it is gone. Scary stuff.
And the renovation is still the stuff from hell, the devil just keeps on giving. Couple months ago we found ceiling leaking downstairs from the tub upstairs. Yep, don't even need to talk about the little shit.
Oh yes, the virus. Covid-19. I just want everyone to realize one thing. Most people in China do not wash their hands. They do not have running water. They live in one room apartments with poor or shared toilets/showers or they visit a communal bath/shower. This is the well off people. The factory workers live in dormitories and share facilities. These people were never raised to wash their hands or anything else on a regular basis. Only rich people and expats have running water as a rule. And I do not want to offend anyone but when I have been to Europe, they have running water. They do not seem to have soap and do not seem prone to use it on a regular basis. See Italy. The only people I know that routinely wash, scrub, shower and obsess about clean, clean, clean is in the US and Canada. Do not fret, just wash your damn hands.

Snippets
I met a woman in the Ladies restroom Monday morning. It was her first day and she was nervous and overwhelmed. I told her it would be fine, assembly plants are overwhelming at first-so large and so much activity and so many people. I found her again at lunchtime and asked her how it was going. She was okay and she told me when she received her badge to the plant she cried she was so happy. She had to take tests, written tests besides the drug tests and felt this was a real achievement. All this for a temporary vacation relief position. Guess it is still pretty bad out there for some of us.
Talked to a guy this week that had been having problems with my parts to give him an update. I told him every time I came to talk to him last week he was out. Yea, he told me he has cancer and had to go in for his chemo. Working the line 10 hours a day with cancer and chemo, this guy has my admiration and respect.
I finished a bit more of the gardening, along with Big Daddy and The Help. I want it mostly finished except for perennials I want to get on sale this fall-By the fourth of July. We will see.
Today I had water leaks, parts not installed properly, and no information on the "missing stock". Tomorrow I have to get information to set up a sort on potential suspect stock, get some paperwork signed off and find time to read a few chapters on my Kindle App for the Samsung Tablet. Tablet is somewhat dicey, but it is great when it works. And I can get my email from work and personal on my phone now. Life is Good, and I hate LG.
Funny of the day:
Missing Stock story. One of my plants emailed me to ask if I knew why the customer had shipped all the launch parts back to them. I figured this was a mistake, replied and asked a few question and went to speak with MP&L, that is the materials people. They of course did not believe me and pooh poohed any mention that they had shipped these parts back to us. Until they checked the records and my pictures. Someone is gonna get in big trouble on this one. Hilarious.

Me and Farrah Fawcett
Back in the day me and Florida Girl my BFF worked at a golf course serving cold beers and lunch to the duffers. She got me the job and it was a good one. Worked days mostly and the guys were nice to us little waitresses in our red hot pants and the women were few and far between and only talked to each other over their coffee cups. We did have to show up pretty early as some of the leagues teed off at the crack of dawn and had to have their coffee and donut first.
One day Florida Girl and I went to the mall shopping and found a new store, a wig shop. There were 2 gals from New York or New Jersey there to open it and it was hilarious trying on the different wigs. I picked one out that was the Farrah Fawcett, looked nothing like Farrah's hair but I had stars in my eyes. At the time I had boring brown hair and the streaky blond made me feel glamorous. FG had blond hair and if I recall correctly she picked out a short curly red one. The beauty of these wigs was that you could swish them in shampoo water, rinse and hang on the doorknob. God we were stylin' and wore the hell out of that hair that summer.
FG is getting a port put in next week and will start chemo shortly thereafter. She will have chemo until October and then they will take the mightily shriveled cancer bit out of her breast. She told me by Skyping that she would be losing her glamorous hair. She used to be a worse product, makeup and hair whore than me. And suddenly it stopped. I don't think she even uses chapstick anymore.
I wonder if she will remember our summer of fun hair. I asked her if she will be getting a wig, she has not answered me yet.
